Discover a secret language and complete challenging puzzles while learning the art of codebreaking.
CryptoConnex was created by Fred, Harriet, Holly and Paula in their Apps for Good course at Hymers College in Hull. The team were fascinated by cryptography, the process of creating secure communications. An important part of computing and everyday life, cryptography is used in everything from cash machines to computer passwords. The students felt it was too often overlooked and decided to develop a code-breaking app that would be fun and accessible to everyone.
CryptoConnex won the Learning category sponsored by Samsung at the Apps for Good Awards 2014, the national competition for Apps for Good students. As an Apps for Good Awards winner, the team worked with development agency Fuerte International to have their app built professionally and launched on to the market, with the support of Apps for Good and Samsung.
