About the app

Watch the video

AssembleJobs provides young people with a list of student friendly jobs in their area. The app was created by Eve, Ben & Josh from Priestley College, Warrington and won the Saving, Spending & Giving category powered by Barclaycard at the Apps for Good Awards 2015.

We talked to the team:

What was the inspiration behind your app?

We decided on the app idea as we found that students were struggling to find jobs. This was something that lots of our classmates experienced. Our main aim was to help students who are seeking part time jobs.

What did you enjoy most about developing your app?

Each member of the team enjoyed it all but we all had our favourite parts about the development. For example, Josh enjoyed the design process for the app, website and logo. Ben enjoyed the figuration of how to improve the app and Eve enjoyed the management of the group and making sure results matched expectations.

How do you hope your app will help its users?

Our app will hopefully help students to find the part time jobs that are suitable for them and their lifestyle.

What has been your favourite Apps for Good moment?

We all enjoyed the full experience of Apps for Good but probably our favorite moment was going to London to pitch our app idea in the MarketPlace and actually winning our category at the Awards
